[scummvm-devel] New year, new release: Prepare for ScummVM 2.7.0

Hi all,

the testing stage for ScummVM 2.7.0 has started!

Our incredible team added support, yet again, for a bunch of new ancient 
games that require testing:

* Soldier Boyz
* GLK Scott Adams Interactive Fiction games (C64 and ZX Spectrum)
* GLK Scott Adams adventures 1-12 (TI99/4A format)
* Obsidian
* Pink Panther: Passport to Peril
* Pink Panther: Hokus Pokus Pink
* Driller/Space Station Oblivion
* Halls of the Dead: Faery Tale Adventure II

Other primary targets for this testing period are the SCUMM engine due 
to some great enhancements and the new shader-scaler feature which is 
available on most of the "more powerful" platforms.

We are still left with a number of bugs that are in scope for the next 
release:

Non-engine code:
> #11753 	BACKENDS: ANDROID (10+ / API 29+) - external storage is no longer browsable
> #6008 	BACKENDS: Dreamcast - FT/Dig: Crash when subtitles are enabled
> #12329 	BACKENDS: IOS: MP3 playback failing, libmad writing out of bounds
> #12032 	BACKENDS: SDL: cursor drifting for game controller
> #12775 	BASE: The -g / --gfx-mode command-line option still handles the old scaler names
> #13719 	GUI: Grid View shows "Fanmade AGI game" for every fan game for the AGI engine
> #13607 	RISCOS: Crash on startup with RISC OS 3.7
> #14024 	SURFACESDL: Mouse cursor is clipped when using 32-bit screen formats

> #13348 	AGS: in certain games screenshots only show chosen elements
> #13594 	CHEWY: Dialog canceled by subtitles
> #11529 	CRUISE: Cut-scenes happen too quickly and dialogue cannot be read

> #11483 	ZVISION: ZGI: Music broke

As a short reminder, this is the remaining release schedule:

- February 13:    Tagging date, porters start building their ports
- February 25/26: Public release
