Dear ScummVM Team, Hello,
My name is Zahed Shams, and I am a computer science and engineering
student. After browsing through the list of projects for Google Summer of
Code 2026, I found a few that interested me. The ones that interested me
most were implementing the text to speech functionality to certain games,
adding Keymapper to more games, porting the ALIS engine to ScummVM, and the
Yaga engine task. I was interested in the option of working around 175
hours on all of these tasks, or more if needed.
In terms of my skills and abilities, I have extensive experience working
with Java, Python, some C/ C++, etc. I have mathematical knowledge of
linear algebra, calculus, and discrete mathematics. In addition, I am able
to quickly grasp other coding languages. Despite being a beginner, I am
very eager to apply all that I have learned inside and outside the
classroom. I am a team player that enjoys collaboration. I would be more
than happy to speak more about my interest in this role. Thank you for your
time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Zahed Shams
