#10370: Mac PPC 2.0.0 release has MT-32 stutter issue

 Running on a dual 2.0Ghz G5 with OS X 10.5.8.

 Previously had 1.8.1, 1.9 and a 1.9 daily from aug 2016. Each ran King's
Quest VI start screen with MT-32 without any significant problem.

With the new 2.0.0 build, the MT-32 breaks up in a manner similar to that
previously reported during the 2.0 dev-cycle on win32 machines. This was
attributed to non-optimized compilation on win32.

Could something similar have occurred on PPC build? I tried adjusting
output_rate and the new audio_buffer_size. output rate didn't seem to
help at 22050, and audio_buffer_size simply altered the spacing/duration
 of breakups.
