New description:
In the original game, when an environment object has several actions and a
pop-up appears with an eye, mouth, and hand icons, double-clicking on the
icon makes April run to the object (if she would normally walk) and then
perform the interaction.
In ScummVM, double-clicking on such an icon in the pop-up seems to be
treated as one click on the icon followed by one on whatever is behind it,
which is usually another object or a non-interactable area of the
environment. As a result April interacts with a different object or walks
to a different location and then performs no interaction.
Would it be possible to implement the same feature into ScummVM's engine
for TLJ?
An early place to test this is in the Prologue, trying to break the twig
(hand icon) from a distance, but it's universal in all the game's
environments.
English GOG version of the game
ScummVM 2.8.1 (Mar 31 2024 14:22:49)
OS: KDE neon 6.0 x86_64 (based on Ubuntu 22.04)
