 I'm trying to play these games (ashina the red witch, red bow, my big
 sister, my big sister remasted, just ignore them, just ignore them Brea's
 story) in android, and there is a big usability problem with them.

 They're made to use a keyboard. Namely, the inventory (e) and run (ctrl)
 and menu (esc) buttons can't be remapped to a button that works in a
 gamepad (virtual scummvm gamepad or not), forcing the user to long press
 to get the virtual keyboard every time you want to use these functions.

 The interact and toon movement functions actually can be remapped to work
 with a gamepad because the keymap option has on the left side (return) and
 on the right (confirm) and you can change it on the left side to (return,
 joy a) and that does it (same thing with the hat directions in the up,
 down, left, right.

 I think I don't understand scummvm remapping because it appears to
 function opposite to what I would expect, where you remap buttons to fixed
 original game actions instead of buttons to original game inputs (keys).

 That said, am I misunderstanding something and one of the game actions in
 this game actually works as e(inventory) or ctrl(run) or esc(menu)?


 edit: indeed, esc can be mapped with 'skip' (instead of game menu).
 However no mapping can do it for run or inventory afaict.


 Would it be too much trouble to single out games that require different
 key mappings to different keys? I have the big suspicion that 'skip' only
 works to open the menu remapping because esc is a common key in other
 engines to 'skip', and so skip is actually another name for 'simulate
 pressing esc'.
