Comment (by i30817):
There are other cases in Ags where mapping a user configurable keyboard
keycode to the virtual controller would be good.
I actually found a even more annoying case where if even the user can
configure the right side of the mapping to any keycode they still wouldn't
be very playable.
The later games by 'thinking of cremation?' graceward and stormwater (also
Ags games, paid ones in stream, with demos ofc), use a mixed keyboard and
mouse system where the mouse serves as shooting cursor and pointed to some
actions and some keyboard keys as movement (not the arrows unfortunately,
awsd) and others UI elements like exchanging guns or inventory.
This makes these games quite unplayable in scummvm android because the
virtual keyboard in android is terrible to access all the keys it wants
(in different subscreens) and occupies a lot of space, and there is no
mixed "gamepad+drag finger mode" or "gamepad + mouse touch mode" (although
I did not try a real controller).
a theoretical gamepad + cursor mode would have to use fixed virtual
gamepad (because currently the gamepad appears in any zone you drop the
finger and you're supposed to only then choose\tap\hold the button you
want. A weird but more convenient system that can work for adventures but
I'm assuming causes a inevitable delay and prevents a mixed mode with that
virtual gamepad.
