 I don't have the German version, but I'm going to assume that it's the
 same as what I could hear in the English version when using boot param
 890. I tried bisecting the problem, and it landed on this commit:

 There was a subsequent commit to address some unspecified regression:
 https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commit/a8cca5031dbecc6852e76747586c39b95e8c0f0f

 If I remove Monkey Island 2 from the special case in the latter commit,
 the problem goes away. But that's probably not the correct fix.
