 Gameplay update:
Game tested using Daily Build - windows-x86-64-master-a9d3a953 dated
 02/13/2026

Gameplay status has changed as follows:

 The following gameplay issue(s) resolved:
 - Mouse cursor display issues (does not always display properly based on
movement direction or action options available...) (FIXED)
 - Numerous soft-locks occurring when: Pop-up windows display, player
positioned to open doors/desk drawers or inventory items available to be
picked up. (I notice though, that if I use the Options menu switch to
toggle to the menu and back again to game screen, it seems to "reset" the
soft-lock and allow the desired action to be performed (close pop-up
window, open door/drawer or pick up item...) (FIXED)

The following gameplay issue(s) is/are new:
 - The game's native Save/Load system and the ScummVM Save/Load system are
both FUBAR (as WIP game systems usually are...) I originally saw both
pop-ups displayed simultaneously...but now, neither displays and the game
now just crashes to desktop when either action is attempted...)

Following the Director commits submitted earlier this week, the mouse
cursor and frequent soft-lock issues are no longer occurring. The game
now plays better than in the past. All game areas available without
puzzle-solving are accessible. (haven't tried to solve any puzzles yet)
Inventory items can be acquired and stored (haven't tried to use any yet).
I can even listen to Mozart's "Queen of the Night" aria from either the
Maestro's room or the Options menu. One new major issue noted during
testing is the Save/Load issues mentioned above. Also, some other random
crashes are occurring...but don't repeat when you re-start the game and
attempt the same action again. (Strange...) Puzzle solving/inventory use
is next on the test list...
