 I suspect that you are missing game files `56000.HEP` and `56000.SCR`.
 They should be in the `Patch` directory. If I remove them from the German
 version then I get the same crash as you when entering the door, otherwise
 it works as expected.

 Where did you get your German version? Original CD? GOG, etc?
