Comment:

 This is weird. I tried it, and I get "chickorie, a useful herb, but I'm
 afraid it won't help Michelle." every time I look at it. Even with your
 savegame
 Right, so the Foxglove goes to the play version, as you said, with:
 scratch._a4 = 28;

 Afterwards, in the switch (scratch._a4) { block at line 29, it does a
 kernel_timing_trigger(30, 28), and sets scratch._a4 = 29. So when the
 trigger expires, and it comes back to this anim4 function, it goes into
 the case 29 block. Which correctly plays the "A useful herb.."
