 Looks like there are no issues with the newest 3.6.3 AGS dev build. My
 recommendation: download the latest development build, copy acwin.exe and
 SDL.dll into the game's folder (download ags-archive), and launch the game
 using acwin.exe. You shouldn't have any more issues that way:

 That's the AGS compatibility layer. I expect the same issues will be
 resolved in ScummVM as well once it updates to this AGS version.
