 Is it perhaps missing a file? When I try with the installed Dragonsphere
 version, for example, mounting the GAME.GOG ISO and copying the resource
 folder contents into (for me) the d:\GOG Games\Dragonsphere\Dragon"
 folder, I can add the game and play the intro from the main menu just
 fine. Likewise with Return of the Phantom.
