Hi Sev,
<snip>
I would like to hear status of all ports:
- GP2X (dead?)
- GP32
</snip>
GP2X dead? That's news to me :-). I assume you meant GP32? esp. as my last
release was today. I am currently without hardware as my GP2X died but that
is another issue all together. The port is in decent shape, there is a load
of stuff waiting until I can test before I commit but it builds and works
well. The newest (F200) GP2X with the touch screen is also fully supported.
As for the GP32, I spoke to WonStar about this, he has given up on the port
as I understand it and I don't have the time (or to be honest the will) to
continue work on it. I have made several abortive attempts but its much more
of a chore and I have enough of those in the day job. The GP32 is also so
hamstrung with its meagre 8MB that performance with ScummVM is fairly
chronic.
Regarding Maemo, if there is anything I can do to help that in (I have an
N770) then shout. It would be really nice to make it official; the
unofficial port seems quite mature.
As for the other comments regards the release I think it all seems
reasonable. The only thing that strikes me is there are key dates right
around Christmas and I do wonder if a lot of devs will be on there
holidays/with family etc. around that time. Still, just an observation :-).
Regards,
John
