Fair enough. Not getting around to doing something for a spare-time  
for-fun open source project when other things keep you busy doesn't  
count as "violating a deadline" in my book anyway :).

Well, a forum post explaining how to do this (or pointing to the  
relevant Wiki page(s)) might draw some attention then.
