Comment:

 Wow. The problem was even worse then that.. only the first 8 flags out of
 64 were getting properly copied for restoration when Thor dies and is
 resurrected. So it could have been leading to all sorts of issues. I'm
 going to mark this bug as closed for now. Hopefully it won't crop up again
 for any further new play throughs.
